Fly Aer Lingus Business Class between Europe and the U.S. from 45,000-55,000 Alaska miles per person, depending on travel dates, between Boston BOS, Chicago ORD, Hartford BDL, Minneapolis MSP, New York JFK, Philadelphia PHL, Seattle SEA, Toronto YYZ, or Washington, DC IAD and Dublin DUB; or between Boston BOS or New York JFK and Shannon SNN. It's easy to connect from Dublin to other destinations in Europe, if you don't plan to stay in the Emerald Isle, and Aer Lingus flies from Shannon to London LHR and Paris CDG (low cost carrier Ryanair flies to additional cities).
Aer Lingus and British Airways charge 50K-75K Avios each way, although bizarrely, with British Airways Avios, some of the Seattle SEA to/from Dublin routes are 48K each way; there are also a few June and July dates between Orlando MCO and Dublin that are this rate.
Aer Lingus awards can also be booked with United MileagePlus miles, but it's considerably more expensive, at 93,000 miles each way.
There's much better availability for flights departing Ireland for the U.S. (taxes are also higher, at ~$380); availability is dynamic and can change at any time.

Where to Stay in Ireland
We recommend The Merrion in Dublin, although only the rooms and suites in the Main House, such as the Deluxe King, Junior Suite, Merrion Suite or Specialty Suite. The hotel's 2-Michelin star restaurant, Patrick Guilbaud is well worth it for a sumptuous lunch or dinner of inspired French cuisine. We also highly recommend a castle hotel stay, especially the wonderful Ballyfin in County Laois, only a little over an hour from Dublin. We also recommend Ashford Castle in County Mayo. Lake view rooms and suites afford gorgeous views of Lough Corrib. We can assist TravelSort Clients with reservations that include Virtuoso benefits, such as upgrades, complimentary breakfast, and hotel credit.
