Fly Iberia Business Class to Europe from 34,000-46,000 Avios per person from Boston BOS, Chicago ORD, New York JFK, San Juan SJU or Washington Dulles IAD, or 40,000-57,000 Avios per person from Dallas DFW, Miami MIA, or Orlando MCO, thanks to the current 30% AMEX transfer bonus to British Airways Avios. Without the bonus, the off-peak rates for flights to Madrid from BOS, ORD, JFK, SJU and IAD is 41K Avios, peak dates at 59K Avios, while from DFW, MIA, and MCO off-peak is 51K Avios and peak dates are 74K Avios

These flights can be booked with British Airways Avios or Iberia Avios points; use the AMEX 30% transfer bonus with Membership Rewards earned from the AMEX Blue Business Plus, AMEX Business Gold card, etc.
Alternatively, you can use Chase Ultimate Rewards points from the Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, and Ink Business Preferred to transfer 1:1 to British Airways Avios or Iberia Plus, although there's not currently a transfer bonus to Avios.
If wanting to fly Iberia's new A321XLR with 1-1 seat configuration (similar to JetBlue's new Mint Business Class), select a flight to or from Boston or IAD. Select flights from JFK and SJU until 3/28/26 are also on Iberia's new A321XLR.

Where to Stay in Madrid
In Madrid, we loved our stay in the Four Seasons Madrid, which enjoys al fresco dining on the rooftop terrace at Dani Brasserie (which is also where our Four Seasons Preferred Partner clients enjoy complimentary breakfast daily). Don't miss the sunlit atrium swimming pool and sun terrace.

The Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid, by the Prado Museum, is more classically elegant in style, and has a fantastic breakfast buffet.

The Thompson Madrid is another option, although we've had mixed service experiences during our multiple stays there.
