Updated September 2025: The Faena New York, part of Accor (known for its high end Sofitel and Raffles brands) has replaced the Six Senses New York as part of the One High Line project and is now open, although fully booked for the next few days, until September 9, 2025. TravelSort Clients enjoy Virtuoso perks, see below.
Faena partnered with Accor in early 2021 to expand Faena globally, beyond its current Miami and Buenos Aires locations. Originally Dubai was to be the third Faena location, but New York became an opportunity after new ownership took over the mixed use project that was to include the Six Senses (itself owned by IHG). The current One High Line owners, Witkoff Group and Access Industries, acquired the XI development during foreclosure after its previous owner, HFZ Capital Group, was beset by financial problems as well as a lawsuit alleging fraud and racketeering. Len Blavatnik, founder of Access Industries, is also a founding partner of Faena. It's a significant coup for Accor's luxury arm, which to date lacks a luxury presence in NYC. Both Faena hotels are Virtuoso members.
The building itself is architecturally striking with its twisting towers by Bjarke Ingels.

Faena New York Location
The Faena New York Hotel and its associated private residences are located at 76 11th Avenue in West Chelsea, Manhattan, between West 17th and West 18th Streets. It's a short walk to The High Line, Chelsea Piers sport complex, the Chelsea Waterside Park, Chelsea Market, and West Village dining and shopping. Newark Airport (EWR) is a 25-45 minute drive, depending on traffic.

.
Faena New York Rooms and Amenities
The new hotel will offer 120 rooms and suites across ten floors, with interiors by Parisian design firm Gilles & Boissier, which also worked on the Baccarat Hotel New York, Ritz-Carlton New York, part of the Mandarin Oriental Paris, and the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid, among others. Neutral colors and natural materials, light wood floors and stonework imbue spaces with a sense of tranquility against the dramatic backdrop of NYC's dynamic skyline.
While entry-level rooms start with the Courtyard King (400 sq. ft.), followed by the High Line King, we recommend reserving a Signature Corner King (550 sq. ft.), for the abundant natural light from its dual exposure, and river view.

.
For dining, La Boca by celebrity Argentine chef Francis Mallmann is now open, and available for reservations.

.
The tower will also house nightlife venue The Living Room, an elevated setting with live entertainment, private dining, and outdoor terraces.

.
Hotel guests will enjoy access to 17,000 square feet of wellness space, Tierra Santa Healing House, including a full-service spa and fitness center.
