What Are JetBlue TrueBlue Points Worth?

In the above examples, with the 25% off awards promotion, a TrueBlue point is worth about 1.9 cents – 2 cents for the continental U.S. flight awards.

But take a look at NYC to the Bahamas and JFK-FLL-CMW, where you're redeeming each point at about 2.5 cents each, and at the FLL to SNU (Santa Clara, Cuba) flight, where you're redeeming at 3.6 cents per point. You'll want to do the math on some of these flights to the Caribbean since you could be getting the most value per TrueBlue point on these awards.

Unfortunately, if you want to redeem for JetBlue Mint Business Class, you'll generally only get 1.3-1.4 cents per point for award redemptions normally, with the possibility of 1.8 cents per point with this 25% off promotion, which is why it often makes more sense to pay outright for those flights.

Crediting JetBlue Flights

Personally, I tend to credit our occasional JetBlue flights to Singapore KrisFlyer, since you can Earn Singapore KrisFlyer Miles for JetBlue Flights. We do little domestic travel and prefer to redeem miles for international first class and business class travel and get at least 5 cents (and preferably 8 cents or more) per mile or point redeemed. That's why I don't value JetBlue miles very highly, but everyone has different travel preferences and miles and points valuations.

If you and your family do credit to JetBlue TrueBlue, be sure you're all signed up for Family Pooling, so you can redeem for an award sooner.
