Why Most Clients Prefer to Book with Virtuoso vs. AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts
Note that this offer is also available via AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts, which I'm also able to reserve for TravelSort Clients, although most of my clients prefer the Virtuoso offer. Why? Because Fine Hotels & Resorts requires payment with either the AMEX Platinum or another AMEX card, and AMEX cards don't have any general hotel category bonus.
By reserving with Virtuoso, you can use whichever card you want, so most clients opt to use the Citi Prestige (3X ThankYou points for hotels) or the Ink Plus or Sapphire Preferred (2X on hotels).
Why Virtuoso 4th Night Free is Better Than the Citi Prestige 4th Night Free Benefit
The Citi Prestige card has a much vaunted 4th night free benefit, but it's a pain to use, and doesn't get you any upgrades, complimentary breakfasts or VIP treatment. You have to book via Carlson Wagonlit travel agents, which are NOT members of Virtuoso or any preferred partner program, so no perks. You also have to pay the full amount of the stay and then wait to receive the 4th night free as a statement credit. With Virtuoso 4th night free, the 4th night is deducted at check-out time.
Bottom Line
There's a relatively short window on this promotion, which is only good before the festive holiday season this year. But if you're looking for travel inspiration or are planning a trip in Southeast Asia anyway, I highly recommend taking advantage of this Virtuoso 4th Night Free offer for the participating Aman Resorts mentioned above.
