Top Luxury All-Inclusive Cruises: What’s Included for Crystal, Silversea, Regent, Seabourn?

Top Luxury All-Inclusive Cruises-Whats Included-Regent Seven Seas-Crystal-Silversea-Seabourn

The Top Luxury All-Inclusive Cruise Lines are Crystal, Silversea, Regent Seven Seas and Seabourn, but they vary considerably in terms of what they include in their fares. Regent Seven Seas is the most all inclusive cruise line, and some clients love this. Others avoid it because they don't value some of the included items that drive up the overall cost, such as shore excursions, which they prefer to arrange privately. Either way, it's helpful to know what is included so you can factor that in when comparing cruise fares.

Regent Seven Seas

What's Included

Business Class Airfare: Regent includes roundtrip business class airfare in its cruise prices, although note that only the intercontinental flight is guaranteed to be in business class. For clients availing themselves of this, I always recommend paying the air deviation fee, currently $175 per person at time of writing, to be able to customize your flights 270 days before your sailing. Otherwise, you're stuck waiting until 75 days before sailing to see the various air options, and by that time, the available flights may have multiple connections and not be too attractive. Also note that the included air is from select gateway cities; if you're in a smaller city, you may need to pay a supplement of $100-$250 per person each way. Transfers to the ship, and often a pre-cruise hotel night (at least for Concierge Suite and higher categories) is also included. If you don't want the included business class air, you'll receive a credit reducing the cost of the cruise fare (varies, depending on itinerary) but note that you also won't get the pre-cruise hotel night or transfers, you'll have to pay for and arrange these on your own.

Dining, Drinks, Minibar, 24 Hour Room Service, Gratuities: All dining, drinks, room service, mini bar, and staff gratuities are included in your fare. Dining reservations can be made for Chartreuse, Prime 7, and other signature restaurants 75 days before sailing for regular cabins, or 90 days prior for Concierge Suites and higher categories. Note that only one reservation per specialty restaurant may be made in advance of the cruise; any additional reservations must be made once you board the ship. The only exception is if you're in a Master Suite, Grand Suite, or higher category suite, in which case you are permitted a guaranteed reservation in any specialty restaurant each night of the cruise.

Shore Excursions: Most group shore excursions are also included, although there are some private tours and special shore excursions (termed Regent Choice) offered at additional cost, for some ports.

WiFi: Unlimited WiFi, one login per cabin at one time for regular accommodation, and up to four logins for four devices per suite for Concierge Suite and higher categories.

What's Not Included

All spa treatments/gratuities, premium wine/liquor selections, Regent Choice special shore excursions/gratuities as noted above, valet laundry/pressing, culinary classes aboard the Seven Seas Explorer,

On Seabourn, if guests may only make one dining reservation at The Grill by Thomas Keller does it make a difference if you are on a longer cruise? For example, is the one reservation limit the same for a 7 and 14 day cruise?
