St Regis Queenstown, New Zealand

The St. Regis Queenstown Hotel will be the first St. Regis in New Zealand, and is expected to open in late 2027. There's no St. Regis in Australia yet, so it's a significant geographical expansion for the Marriott luxury brand, which has over 65 hotels and resorts globally. It's also a big event for Queenstown, which receives over two million visitors annually, yet has no other international luxury brands in the downtown area; the closest competitor is Rosewood Matakauri, which took over Matakauri Lodge and the other Robertson lodges in 2023.

St. Regis Queenstown Location

The new hotel will be located at the corner of Man Street and Brecon Street, in the downtown business district, a short 7-minute walk from Queenstown Bay Beach on the Lake Wakatipu waterfront, and about a 15 minute drive from Queenstown Airport (ZQN), which is served by nonstop flights from Auckland, Brisbane, Christchurch, Melbourne, Sydney, and Wellington.

St. Regis Queenstown Rooms and Amenities

The new hotel, signed with PHC Queenstown and the CP Group (which also owns the Sofitel Auckland, among others), will feature 145 rooms and suites, some with views of the Remarkables mountains and Lake Wakatipu. Butler services include a packing and unpacking service, garment pressing, in-room beverage and wake-up call.

The St. Regis Queenstown's amenities will include an all-day restaurant and bar and a spa with an indoor heated pool and fitness center.
