The Ritz-Carlton, Riviera Maya will open in 2026 on a 220 acre beachfront property. It will be the third Ritz-Carlton in Mexico, after the Ritz-Carlton Mexico City and Zadun, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve (the previous Ritz-Carlton Cancun reflagged as a Kempinski hotel in 2022).

The new resort and private residences will be located a 45-minute drive from Cancun Airport (CUN), which is served by nonstop flights from Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York JFK, Newark, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Raleigh/Durham, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, and Washington IAD, among other airports.

The resort will feature 300 guest rooms and suites, in addition to 127 multi-bedroom private residences. There will be four swimming pools as well as The Lagoon, the resort's family-friendly pool and splash zone.
