The Portrait Milano Will Open in December 1, 2022, following a soft opening from November 23-30. The new luxury hotel is the third Portrait Hotel, after the Portrait Firenze in Florence and the Portrait Roma in Rome. The Portrait Hotels are the 5-star hotels of luxury goods brand Salvatore Ferragamo.

Portrait Milano Location
The new Portrait Milano is in a historical location, in the Archiepiscopal Seminary of Milan, Europe's oldest seminary, at Corso Venezia 11, only a 10-15 minute walk to the Duomo di Milano (Milan Cathedral) and the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping arcade. The hotel's ornate baroque entrance was designed in 1652 by Francesco Maria Richini, and it opens into the Piazza del Quadrilatero, the largest public square in the fashion district, surrounded by a double colonnaded loggia.

Portrait Milano Rooms, Suites, and Amenities
The Portrait Milano will have 53 rooms and 20 suites, for a total of 73 accommodations. The entry level Portrait Studio ranges from 344-474 sq. ft. (32-44 sq. m.), with either a king bed or two twin beds, walk-in closet, and Carrara marble bathroom with an oversized shower. The Portrait Studio and the next category, the Studio Deluxe, accommodate a maximum of two adults and an infant in a crib.

Small families of three should reserve at least a Studio Deluxe Garden, as some of these 387-538 sq. ft. rooms have a sofa bed.

Families who want a separate bedroom should reserve one of the suites (720-800 sq. ft.), which also have a sofa bed in the living room that can accommodate a third guest. Select suites also have an additional half bathroom in addition to the master bathroom, and some suites have a lovely terrace.

Note that the hotel's wellness center with its gym, spa, and indoor swimming pool will only open sometime in 2023, so these services aren't yet available.
