Singapore Airlines SilverKris Manila Airport Lounge Access Policy
These passengers have access to Singapore Airlines SilverKris lounges, including the Manila lounge:
- Singapore Airlines Business Class passengers
- KrisFlyer elite Gold, PPS Club and Solitaire PPS Club passengers, when flying on a Star Alliance airline
- Star Alliance Gold elites (no guests permitted)
Singapore Airlines SilverKris Manila Airport Lounge Location and Hours
The lounge is located at Terminal 3, after security, on Departure Level 4. Lounge hours are 5am-9am and 11:15am to 7pm daily, subject to flight schedule changes.
Singapore Airlines SilverKris Manila Airport Lounge Amenities and Food
The SilverKris Lounge has several seating areas, and although there were quite a few other passengers in the lounge during our early evening visit, there were still plenty of available seats.
We chose some high backed chairs that looked a bit Alice-in-Wonderlandish, although with a more elegant brown and grey design, not with the bright pinks we saw a couple years ago during a Moscow summer festival. The flowers were silk flowers and not real, but I wouldn't necessarily have expected real flowers in a business class lounge, especially not in Singapore Airline's hub.
For those needing to hunker down and get work done, I liked these individual booths that echoes Singapore Airline seats, with a table for your laptop and power outlet (note that it is a 3 prong Type G one, akin to what is used in Singapore, the UK, etc.)
WiFi was available with a password, and decent speed for checking emails, but a bit slow when uploading larger files.
We had some of the food, which was fine, if forgettable. There was quite a bit of starch, in the form of rice and sandwiches, as well as pasta and potatoes.
On the left are portions of lasagne, and on the right, mashed potatoes (although they looked at first glance like scoops of ice cream):
The “Hawaiian” BBQ Pork was pretty good for lounge fare:
There were cups of Greek-style salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, olives and feta chees, and also fresh fruit, although many of the cut pieces used in the fruit salad didn't seem ripe.
Sweets were straightforward: chocolate chip muffins, lemon bars and a chocolate jelly roll cake.
It was too late in the day for us for coffee, but there was a Nescafe machine for espresso drinks:
Wines were chardonnay, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon:
A sign promoted a Manila Dawn cocktail made with coco jam, Frangelico, vodka and milk, but I'm not a fan of sweet cocktails, so gave it a miss.
Soft drinks and beer were also on offer:
There's no shower in the lounge, but it does have its own restrooms:
The Verdict
Manila isn't a top destination as far as business class lounges go, but the Singapore SilverKris Lounge was perfectly fine, and likely one of the nicer ones in the Manila Airport. The self serve food included some hot options, of which the bbq pork was the tastiest, and there were also vegetarian offerings and fresh fruit. It's unfortunately there's no shower, but if you're coming from Amanpulo you can always take a quick shower in the Amanpulo Lounge.
