Four Seasons Hotel Osaka Now Open

Four Seasons Hotel Osaka Opening Offers

.

The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka is now open, becoming the fourth Four Seasons hotel in Japan, after Four Seasons Tokyo at Marunouchi, Four Seasons Kyoto, and Four Seasons Tokyo at Otemachi. A fifth Four Seasons, the Four Seasons Okinawa, is expected to open by 2024. Opening offers are now available (see below), and TravelSort Clients can enjoy these in conjunction with Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits.

Alastair McAlpine will be the Four Seasons Osaka General Manager, arriving from Four Seasons Lanai, where he served as General Manager. His other Four Seasons experience includes the Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa, Four Seasons Washington, DC, and the former Four Seasons Tokyo at Chinzan-so, among others.

Four Seasons Hotel Osaka Location

The new Four Seasons Hotel Osaka will be part of the One Dojima Project, located about a 10 minute walk south of Osaka Station at 2 chome 4-5 Dojima. Across the Dojima River, about a 10 minute walk away, is the National Museum of Art, and about a 13 minute drive away is the new Nakanoshima Art Museum of Osaka.

Osaka is only a 30 minute train ride from Kyoto and 1 hour train ride from Nara, so it's also a potential base for visitors seeking to visit Kyoto and Nara, in addition to Osaka. Even with newer Kyoto luxury hotel openings such as Aman Kyoto and the Park Hyatt Kyoto, Kyoto hotel rates tend to be significantly higher than Osaka hotel rates, particularly during the popular cherry blossom and fall seasons and during holidays.

Four Seasons Hotel Osaka Design and Rooms

Takenaka Corporation, which is headquartered in Osaka and was responsible for the design and construction of the Park Hyatt Kyoto, is constructing the Four Seasons Osaka building, while Nikken Sekkei is responsible for the building's design, while interior design is being undertaken by the trio of Gwenael Nicolas of Curiosity, Shinichiro Ogata of SIMPLICITY (who designed the Andaz Tokyo at Toranomon Hills), and Yasuhiro Koichi of Design Studio Spin, who designed the Rock Bar at the Ayana Resort & Spa, Bali. The hotel will have 175 guest rooms and suites, including a Japanese-style floor where rooms and suites have tatami mat floors.

Room categories start with entry-level Superior Rooms and Deluxe Rooms (463-495 sq. ft.), with either one king or two double beds, followed by Premier Rooms (452-506 sq. ft.) and Premier Corner Rooms (484-560 sq. ft.). We recommend Four Seasons Corner Rooms (484-560 sq. ft.), with their views of the Osaka skyline as well as the river.

.

There are also 21 rooms and suites on the “GENSUI” Modern Ryokan floor, including a Tatami Premier Room, Tatami Corner Suite, Tatami Premier Corner Suite, and Grand Tatami Suite. These have tatami floors, futon beds, and the opportunity to enjoy a tea ceremony in the SABO Lounge.

Suites are the perfect option for families. These start from the open plan Junior Suite (657 sq. ft.), which have two double beds and can accommodate a rollaway bed, followed by true one bedroom suites: the Premier Corner Suite (743 sq. ft.) and the Four Seasons Corner Suite (743 sq. ft.), which includes both skyline and river views.
