Cheval Blanc Seychelles will open December 1, 2024, before festive season, as the 6th Cheval Blanc resort, after Cheval Blanc Paris, Cheval Blanc Randheli Maldives, and resorts in St. Tropez, St. Barth, and Courchevel. The resort is located on the southwestern coast of Mahe Island, about a 35 minute drive from the airport, which offers nonstop flights from Abu Dhabi AUH, Doha DOH, Dubai DXB, Johannesburg JNB, Mumbai BOM, Nairobi NBO, among others, and seasonal nonstop flights from Frankfurt, Istanbul, and Zurich.
The resort, on Anse Intendance, is in the location of the former Banyan Tree Seychelles, but is a complete new build resort with contemporary flair, designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, who also designed Cheval Blanc Randheli, Four Seasons Tokyo at Otemachi, the Chedi Andermatt, and Amanoi, among others.
The Maison will offer 51 villas spanning 2368 sq. ft. (220 sq. m.) to 7535 sq. ft. (700 sq. m.), each with a private swimming pool, and beautiful beachfront, hillside, or tropical jungle views. Here are the different villa types:
Hillside Villas

Arriving guests will be greeted by the majestic sculpture Centauresse by Prune Nourry, which rises from a pond among the banyan trees. On the walls of each villa, works by the Madagascan artist Joël Andrianomearisoa appear like a hymn to the generosity of luxuriant Nature and find an echo in the pastel-hued walls of the restaurant Le White.
Restaurants unique to the resort will include Mizumi, an Asian restaurant situated by the lake in a traditional Creole House; Vivamento, across from the pool, serving Italian cuisine; and Sula, a Mediterranean beach club by the ocean serving Creole specialties. As at other Cheval Blanc properties, the signature restaurant will be Le 1947, specializing in French gastronomy, and there will also be Le White, with a cosmopolitan atmosphere and views of the bay.
Spa Cheval Blanc will provide Guerlain treatments, and additional wellness offerings include a pool, fitness center, surf simulator, and two tennis courts.
Younger Cheval Blanc guests can discover the wonderful world of Carrousel, the resort's kids' club and haven for little pirates in search of adventure and discovering Nature.
