Baccarat Maldives to Open in 2027

Baccarat Maldives is expected to open in Q2 2027 as the fourth Baccarat hotel and residences, after the current Baccarat New York and the Baccarat Florence and Baccarat Rome, both expected to open in 2026.

Baccarat Maldives Location and Getting There

The resort, which will span five interconnected islands and encompass over 100 acres of land, is located in South Male Atoll, a 45-minute boat transfer from Male's Velana International Airport (MLE). Most U.S. guests will fly via the Middle East (Emirates via Dubai; Qatar Airways via Doha; Etihad via Abu Dhabi, or Turkish Airlines via Istanbul) or via Asia (Singapore Airlines via SIN).

Baccarat Maldives Resort and Amenities

The resort will comprise 100 beach and overwater villas, in addition to 50 private residences. Architecture is by HKS, with interior design by 1508 London, which of course will include Baccarat crystal accents.

Baccarat Maldives will be the second Maldivian resort with a golf course, after Velaa. There will also be a driving range, an exercise studio with fitness classes, spin studio, outdoor running trail, rock climbing, tennis court, paddle court, badminton court, squash court, beach volleyball, beach croquet, and even a soccer field.

The pool and Spa facilities will include a saltwater pool, lap pool, heated jacuzzi, hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam rooms, Turkish Hammam, Moroccan Bath House, treatments in both regular and overwater treatment rooms, meditation and yoga pavilion.

There will be several restaurants, as well as the Baccarat Champagne & Cigar Lounge, and private dining experiences. Whether enjoying an oceanfront lunch, afternoon tea, or a romantic dinner under the stars, every meal is a celebration of flavor and artistry.
