Aman Maldives has been announced as the 21st Aman resort, one of several new Aman openings that include Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, Amanvari, Aman Beverly Hills, Aman Niseko, and an Aman Luxury Yacht, among others.
The Maldives has been a significant gap in Aman's current offerings, given the incredibly high luxury resort standard. And given upcoming Aman resorts in Saudi Arabia and Dubai and the ease of reaching the Maldives via Middle Eastern carriers (Etihad via Abu Dhabi AUH and Emirates via Dubai DXB), Aman Maldives will be very complementary to the expanded Aman Resorts portfolio.
Aman Maldives Location and Amenities
Aman Maldives will be located in Vaavu Atoll, an interesting choice, where currently there are no luxury resorts. The resort, with 52 pavilions of one to three bedrooms, in addition to 16 multi-bedroom private residences, will be designed by Kerry Hill Architects, which also designed Aman Tokyo and Aman Kyoto. Each of the resort pavilions will have a private pool.
Additional amenities will include several restaurants, a beach club and private dining locations, in addition to the Aman Spa on its own island, a dive center, and water sports.
No opening date has been announced yet.
