Rosewood Bermuda Location and Check-in
Rosewood Bermuda at Tucker's Point is located at 60 Tucker's Point Drive in Hamilton Parish, only 2.8 miles from the airport, ~10 minute drive. We arrived from the Hamilton Princess, about a 20 minute drive away. We didn't wait too long to check-in, although during that time no one offered us a welcome drink, which we later discovered was supposed to be included in the resort fee. Reception was also much less friendly than the Hamilton Princess. In our view, nearly everyone we interacted with at reception could use retraining (or perhaps shouldn't be working in hospitality at all). Not a good first impression. Fortunately this wasn't the case at the restaurants, particularly Sul Verde, where we had excellent service.

Rosewood Bermuda Ocean View Room
Ocean View King Rooms are located in the manor house, the main part of the hotel, on floors 1-5. They're 600 sq. ft., larger than the 500 sq. ft. Superior King Rooms, although the same size as the Harbour View Rooms that are a number of steps down from the Manor House, in separate buildings. What we especially loved was how comfortable the bed was; the one at the Hamilton Princess, a Fairmont resort, was too firm for our liking.
.
Power outlets are right by the bed, convenient for charging devices.
.
Across from the bed is an honor bar area and flat screen TV. There were two large bottles of water, a Nespresso maker and capsules, and some chocolate covered malt balls as a complimentary snack.
.
The bathroom has sliding doors that open up to the room, with the soaking tub by the doors. We definitely preferred this bathroom to the one at the Hamilton Princess, since there were double sinks and a separate toilet chamber, in addition to the walk in shower (although unfortunately it was a regular shower head, not a rain shower).

The private balcony is another highlight, affording a view of Castle Harbour and St. George parish in the distance. If you look below, you're right over the Castle Harbour pool. At least during our stay, there weren't any news issues. Kids tended to be in the main Palm Court pool on the other side of the resort.

Ocean View One Bedroom Suite
Our last night, we stayed in an Ocean View One Bedroom Suite. These suites are also in the Manor House on floors 1-5, but are 1000 square feet, with a separate bedroom, a sofa bed in the living room, a full bathroom across from the bedroom and a half bathroom by the entrance. These features make it far more comfortable for a family.
.
The suite's bathroom was oriented slightly differently but otherwise had exactly the same type of soaking tub and other fixtures.
Ours was a corner unit, so it had dual exposures and four seats total on the balcony.

Rosewood Bermuda Pools
Rosewood Bermuda has three main pools, but five pools in all, if you count the Sense Spa pool and the Beach Club's Fountain Pool for young kids. The Palm Court Pool is heated to 82 degrees Fahrenheit between October and May, making a swim possible even in the off-season late fall, winter and early spring months.
.
The Castle Harbour Pool is the one below the Ocean View Rooms and Suites in the Manor Building, seen here from our Ocean View One Bedroom Suite while enjoying a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
.
The Beach Club, which is open seasonally from just before Easter until early November, hosts the Horizon Pool, open to those 13 and older:
.
Younger kids and their families can find the Fountain Pool on the other side of the Beach Club Restaurant. It has a zero entrance, perfect for wading into.

The Verdict
At time of writing, the Rosewood Bermuda is the best luxury resort in Bermuda. The St. Regis Bermuda will open soon, in May 2021, in St. George parish, so it remains to be seen whether that resort's soft product will match the apparent quality of its hard product.
Highlights for us at Rosewood Bermuda were the beautiful views, modern rooms/suites with very comfortable beds, great thin crust pizzas and Italian cuisine at Sul Verde and friendly service in the restaurants, and the pretty pink sand beach (it had rough waves during our stay, but our son loved it that way). What we'd like to see improved is service at the front desk as well as the shuttle service, which was infrequent and included awful driving (think full speed over speed bumps, horrific on our backs). We'd also like to see kids' menus (with reduced pricing) for breakfast, since there were only kids' menus available for dinner.
If you've stayed at Rosewood Bermuda recently, during the pandemic, what was your experience?
