Note that the following items won't earn 10X AA miles:

Shipping charges also don't earn any bonus points, and each customer only is able to purchase up to five units of a product, except iPhones, where only two units within a 30 day period are eligible.

Apple fans might gravitate to the Apple Card which gets 3% cash back on Apple purchases, but the Apple Card doesn't provide any purchase protection, which some other cards do.
Purchase protection typically covers an item recently purchased, when it's lost due to theft, damage, or accidental parting with the item, up to a certain maximum. For example, the Chase Sapphire Reserve covers an item up to $10,000 within 120 days of purchase. Depending on the loss, the insurance will replace, repair or reimburse you at the insurance company's discretion.
The AMEX Platinum has a similar policy, although for New York residents the policy only covers 90 days from purchase.

Best Uses of AAdvantage Miles
The best way to redeem AAdvantage miles is typically not on American Airlines. Instead, I recommend redeeming for partner first class and business class, such as JAL First Class, JAL SkySuite Business Class, Cathay Pacific First Class, Qatar QSuites Business Class and others.
