Why #3: There are many resort options in the Maldives, but Four Seasons Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru is a top choice for families that don't want to compromise on luxury or on spectacular snorkeling and diving. The only thing to note is that only Beach Bungalows and Beach Villas are eligible for the 4th night free offer, although you would be eligible for a Four Seasons Preferred Partner upgrade to a Sunrise Water Villa, based on availability at check-in, if you book the Beach Villa with Pool.

Why #4: Although I do prefer Landaa Giravaru for its diving and snorkeling to Kuda Huraa, Kuda Huraa does have the advantage of being just a speedboat away from Male, for families that want to get to their final destination quickly after most likely a long international flight. Note that the Beach Pavilion with Pool, Sunrise Beach Bungalow with Pool and Sunset Beach Bungalow with Pool are eligible for the 4th night free offer. My recommendation is to book the Sunset Beach Bungalow with Pool, so that you would be eligible for a FSPP upgrade, based on availability at check-in, to a Sunrise Water Bungalow with Pool.

Why #6: This is a 3rd night free offer if you stay by Jan. 31, 2015 or from May 1 to October 31, and a 5th night free offer if you stay between February and April, 2015. Four Seasons Punta Mita is one of the nicest beach resorts convenient to those in the western half of the U.S. Nonstop flights to Puerto Vallarta from Los Angeles LAX are under 3 hours, making it more convenient to get to than Hawaii, and even though I rank Four Seasons Hualalai above it, you won't be seeing a free night offer at Four Seasons Hualalai…ever. So if you have little time and crave a getaway to somewhere warm, I recommend taking advantage of this.

Why #7: One of my own and many of my clients' most memorable trips is an African safari. This is the perfect chance to enjoy a complimentary night at the luxurious Four Seasons Serengeti in Tanzania. I would recommend avoiding mid-March-May due to the rains, and to try to visit before mid-March or during June.

Why #9: Moscow may not be on everyone's wish list right now with everything in the news on Russia, but as I wrote in Devil's Advocate: Russia Travel Deals as Ruble Falls? it's actually a great time to visit in terms of more affordable luxury accommodation. In the recent past, even entry level rooms in Moscow's luxury hotels have been at NYC prices or higher, whereas now they're far more reasonable. Sure, I wouldn't advise visiting in the dead of winter, but spring, summer and early fall are great times to explore the rich cultural offerings, marvel at the beautiful and super efficient Moscow Metro, and enjoy food from all over the former USSR–one of my favorites being Georgian khachapuri. Plus, the Four Seasons Moscow is brand new and has the perfect location across from Red Square.
