Zadun, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Los Cabos, Mexico, is one of several anticipated luxury Los Cabos resorts to open 2019-2020. The Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas is also to open mid-2019, and Amanvari in Los Cabos, also in Costa Palmas, is to open in 2020.
The Zadun property has been considerably delayed; originally it was supposed to open in early 2018, so it's more than a year behind schedule, and as always, opening dates are subject to change. Zadun is the hotel side of the project; there are also 27 Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residences as well as condominiums that enjoy the resort amenities and services.
Zadun Location and Distance from Los Cabos Airport
Zadun is located in Puerto Los Cabos, which is about a 25 minute drive from the Los Cabos Airport (SJD), and an 18-20 min. drive from Las Ventanas al Paraiso, the Rosewood resort.
Resort Amenities
Zadun will provide access to three miles of private beaches, restaurants, a spa, and two golf courses, designed by Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman. There's also expected to be a Ritz Kids program.
Zadun Room, Suite and Villa Types
The resort will offer 115 villas, suites and rooms, and all of them except for the Ocean View Room and the Oceanfront Room will include a private plunge pool.
Ocean View Rooms, Ocean View Pool Rooms and Oceanfront Rooms are 807 square feet, while Infinity View Pool Rooms, the smallest accommodation at the resort, are still a generous 750 square feet.
The resort is expected to be as popular with families as with couples, so there are 2 bedroom Oceanfront Pool Rooms and Oceanfront Family Rooms that are each 2350 square feet; Oceanfront Family Rooms have 2 bathrooms. Ocean View Family Rooms are a bit smaller, at 1604 square feet, but also have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Suites such as the Oceanfront Family Suite and Ocean View Family Suite, both 2350 sq. ft., also have 2 bedrooms.
For couples who prefer a suite, the Cortez Ocean View Suite and Cortez Oceanfront Suite, both 1550 sq. ft., are located on the lower level of select villas.
Those who want to be beach front will want one of the villas, since these are the only category right by the beach.
Zadun Virtuoso Benefits
While Zadun isn't yet a Virtuoso hotel, it's likely to be one, as all other Ritz-Carlton Reserve resorts are Virtuoso. Expected benefits would be:
- Upgrade at time of arrival, subject to availability
- Complimentary Buffet and A La Carte Breakfast for two daily in the restaurant for duration of the stay
- $100 USD equivalent Resort/Hotel credit to be utilized during stay
- Early check-in/Late check-out, subject to availability
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
