This review of Vita Restaurant at Rock House, Turks and Caicos, is from our recent site inspection visit.
Vita Restaurant, Rock House Location and Hours
Rock House is located at 1 Blue Mountain Road, about an 11-15 minute drive from Providenciales Airport (PLS), and a 15 minute drive from Grace Bay Club, Rock House's sister resort. Vita Restaurant is at one end of the resort's main pool, with windows on three sides and sea views from its coveted balcony and tables by the windows.
In addition to serving breakfast to Rock House guests, Vita is open to both in-house guests and visitors (with advance reservations) for dinner nightly, from 5:30-9:30pm.

Vita Restaurant Menu and Food
Vita serves traditional Italian cuisine, with a Caribbean influence; all pastas are homemade (and based on our experience, highly recommended).

We started with some lovely homemade focaccia, with olive oil for dipping.

.
The Zucchini Parmigiana with saffron sauce and smoked mozzarella cream was phenomenal. I don't even like zucchini but I couldn't resist second helpings of this dish. It was also beautifully plated.

.
The roasted octopus was also excellent: nicely charred exterior but still tender inside, which can be tricky to pull off.

.
The salad was fresh and tasty but otherwise unremarkable:

.
We only tried one pasta, which looked unassuming, but it was possibly my favorite dish of the evening: an al dente homemade rigatoni in a delectable truffle cream sauce with morel mushrooms and asparagus. I kept going back for additional bites of this.

.
The mains were nothing to sneeze at either: hearty Sage and Citrus Roasted Organic Chicken with Burnt Orange Salsa, with a lovely roasted butternut squash puree (not pictured).

.
The Whole Roasted Branzino was also very good, but not convinced it was worth the $95 price, compared to the other offerings.

.
For dessert, others ordered the Tiramisu, which was very nice as tiramisu goes, although I'm not a tiramisu person, so was less appealing to me than to others. Unless you're a tiramisu or Italian dessert fan, I'd suggest skipping dessert here, and focusing on the excellent appetizers and pastas.

.
The Verdict
Our dinner at Vita Restaurant was excellent. I loved the dramatic ocean views and excellent service, but of course cuisine is paramount, and highlights included the Zuccini Parmigiana appetizer, the truffled pasta with morel mushrooms, the roasted octopus, and the sage and citrus roasted chicken.
