Singapore Airlines Business Class Award to Japan

Fly Singapore Business Class to Tokyo, Japan for 104K-123K Singapore KrisFlyer miles each way in 2025, perfect for late summer or even fall travel to enjoy the beautiful foliage. The route is LAX-NRT and NRT-LAX, so if you're not in the Los Angeles area, you'll need to book positioning flights to get to/from LAX. The 104K pricing is for Singapore KrisFlyer “saver” awards, of which there are few; more of the dates are at the 123K level.

Note that the best availability, unfortunately, is in August 2025, which isn't a time we recommend for Japan as it's typically very hot and humid. That said, there are also some September, October, November, and even a few early to mid-December dates, so act fast. It's best to transfer from AMEX Membership Rewards or Capital One if you don't already have KrisFlyer miles in your account, as these transfers are typically instant; transfers from Chase Ultimate Rewards or Citi usually take 24-48 hours, by which time these awards are expected to be gone.

Where to Stay in Tokyo

In Tokyo, we recommend the Four Seasons Tokyo at Otemachi, with its panoramic views and modern design. For guests who arrive early and/or depart late, we recommend The Peninsula Tokyo; it's an older hotel, still well-maintained, and with our PenClub PenTime benefit, guests can confirm early check-in as early as 6am on the day of arrival and depart as late as 10pm on the date of departure (if the booked room or suite isn't available, a holding room is provided). The Peninsula Tokyo also provides one of our favorite Japanese breakfasts in Tokyo.

For guests arriving and/or departing Tokyo by shinkansen, the Shangri-La Tokyo is a good choice, since it's right by Tokyo Station and if arranged in advance, a hotel associate will meet the guest right at the train platform, or escort the guest to the correct platform for departure.
