Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Shopping Deals: Will They Be Honored?

 

The best deal, if it's honored, would be 17,077 KrisFlyer miles for paying for LifeLock Basic for 1 month: that would be just $9.80 if the miles post within that month, or $19.60 if the miles post within 2 months, or $29.40 if the miles take 90 days to post (which is what the Singapore KrisFlyer shopping portal FAQ says to allow). Even if you had to pay for 3 months, that would be 0.2 cents per mile, an incredible deal.

 

The hitch? This is a mistake shopping bonus. Just click into the KrisFlyer calculator on the LifeLock page and enter any price, and you can see that 1708 miles are the estimated KrisFlyer miles, not 17,077.

 

Same thing with the other promotions mentioned above. Here are what the KrisFlyer Miles Calculator calculates for the respective offers:

• 1708 KrisFlyer miles for LifeLock Basic
• 2308 KrisFlyer miles for Network Solutions
• 1557 KrisFlyer miles for a 1&1 MyWebsite Basic (12 months)
• 7785 KrisFlyer miles for a Vodafone Business contract / Business Mobile Broadband 

So, while it would be great if KrisFlyer does honor these promotions in its KrisFlyer Spree shopping portal, I'm not holding my breath.

 

Singapore KrisFlyer miles are the best way to book Singapore Suites, Singapore First Class and Singapore Business Class, because there's greater award availability released to Singapore KrisFlyer members. It's not possible to book Singapore Suites and Singapore First Class using United miles or other Star Alliance miles.

As usual with loyalty online shopping portals, it's a good idea to first clear cookies. Next, log into your KrisFlyer account, then go to krisflyerspree.com. When viewing offers, you'll want to select offers that correspond to your country of residence. Click through from the krisflyerspree.com site to the merchant site and complete your transaction in one session, without visiting other sites, as that can affect the tracking of your purchase.

 

I highly recommend that you take screenshots of the KrisFlyer Spree site with the posted KrisFlyer bonus amounts and of your purchase(s), including the receipt, in case miles don't post.

 

 

 

It can take up to 5 working days for your KrisFlyer Spree transaction miles to show as “Pending.”

 

 

 

It can take up to 90 days for KrisFlyer shopping bonus miles to show as “approved.”

 

 

 

If your miles haven't appeared as “pending” within 5 (Singapore) business days of your purchase or you need other help, you can complete the KrisFlyer Spree Contact form with your email, merchant name, transaction date, transaction time, transaction amount and merchang order/confirmation number.
