The Ritz-Carlton Turtle Bay will open late summer 2024, a rebranding of Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu's North Shore, after the property was sold. Prior to the pandemic, this was a very poorly maintained resort, but previous owners, Blackstone Real Estate, renovated guest rooms, suites, bungalows, lobby, and pools during the pandemic, so the resort now tends to get good reviews of its hard product.

Ritz-Carlton Turtle Bay Location
A major attraction for guests who head to Turtle Bay is its location on Oahu's North Shore, far from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, where most of Oahu's luxury accommodation is located (although not Four Seasons Oahu at Ko'Olina, which is in the Kapolei area). Expect the drive from Honolulu Airport (HNL) to the Ritz-Carlton Turtle Bay to take about 1 hour. The North Shore is a favorite area for surfing, especially in the winter which sees swells as high as 30 feet. Waimea Bay is about a 10 minute drive from Turtle Bay, while the Polynesian Cultural Center, a popular attraction that showcases the culture and dances from Tahiti, Samoa, Fiji, etc., as well as Hawaii, is less than a 15 minute drive from the resort.

Ritz-Carlton Turtle Bay Rooms, Suites, Villas
We recommend reserving a Club level room or suite, so as to have access to the Club Lounge. In addition to the daily breakfast and refreshments served during the day, it offers a dedicated Club Concierge Team, which is helpful since Turtle Bay is a large resort of 450 accommodations, and the regular Concierge Team can be overwhelmed at times.
