This Review of Le Tout Paris Restaurant at the Cheval Blanc Paris hotel is from our recent visit for both dinner and breakfast. The hotel and restaurant has been open just over a year, and the hotel, which we'll be reviewing soon, is the second Cheval Blanc property in France (after Cheval Blanc Courchevel).
Le Tout Paris Restaurant Location and Hours
Le Tout Paris is located on the seventh floor of Cheval Blanc Paris, which is at 8 Quai du Louvre, overlooking the Seine and steps from the Pont Neuf. Le Tout Paris is the more casual brasserie style restaurant (the hotel's other restaurants include the Italian Langosteria and the three Michelin-star Plenitude). Le Tout Paris is open daily for breakfast from 7am. Dinner is served from 7pm.

Dinner at Le Tout Paris
Unless it's too hot outside to be comfortable, outdoors on the terrace is where you want to be, to enjoy the view of the Seine and ideally, the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Indoors is frankly very garish, especially compared to the subdued, residential tones of the rooms and suites.
.
Here's the dinner menu:
.
After ordering, we were brought bread, as well as a tasty savory brioche amuse bouche:
.
We loved our table positioning and vantage points, with a great view of the Seine, and the onion soup was both one of the best we've tasted plus came with a dramatic presentation.
.
The Pommes Dauphines side dish was also excellent; we should have ordered two of these.
.
The chicken and lamb mains were very well executed, but not particularly memorable.
.
Since we'd waited quite a long time for the main courses, we opted for the cheese plate, figuring it would be quick to prepare. Alas, it took such a long time we considered leaving, and it was only after multiple reminders that it came. It was very good, but not worth the protracted wait.
.
What we really didn't care for, in addition to the inconsistent pacing, was the loud party-like music, and even when we complained to our server, it was never altered.
.
Breakfast at Le Tout Paris
Fortunately, breakfast was completely different. There was no music at all (fine by us), we had a very polite and responsive server, and everything we tasted was excellent. Breakfast is ordered a la carte from the menu. There's no buffet; everything apart from the freshly baked pastries is made to order.
.
A basket of breads and pastries are brought to each table, as are little dishes of berries and vanilla bean yogurt.
.
Everyone adored what they ordered: our teen ordered crepes, my husband had the brioche perdue (french toast), and I had the eggs florentine, with plenty of cheese and spinach.
.
I had an excellent latte, but kept stealing sips of our teen's decadent chocolate, which must have been a high quality Callebaut or similar chocolate melted with milk.
.
The Verdict
Our dinner experience at Le Tout Paris was somewhat uneven, and we wouldn't return for dinner unless the music was toned down to something relaxing or unobtrusive. The a la carte breakfast was very good, thankfully with no music, completely peaceful. We noticed a much higher quality in the pastries compared to the pastries we've had at other Paris luxury hotel breakfast buffets, and the eggs florentine, brioche perdue (french toast), and decadent hot chocolate were excellent as well.
