This Kid's Cathay Pacific First Class Review is my son's YouTube video of his flight from Hong Kong to NYC JFK.
Here are his thoughts:
The Cathay Pacific First Class seat was superb. It was extra wide, with one fixed cushion for your head, a big soft pillow for your back, and a left armrest. A minus about the seat was there was no right armrest, but due to the width it wasn't needed. The reading lights worked well for reading, when the lights were dimmed.
The Cathay First Class menu was great. In addition to the dinner and breakfast choices, there were snacks, in case you got hungry between meals, and all kinds of beverages, although the wine list wasn't important to me, as a kid. The prawns in the salad were big and delicious, and not too spicy, even though the menu said they were cajun prawns. The Grilled Beef Tenderloin was too chewy and there was too much of it for me, but everything else on the plate was good, such as the parsnip and potatoes.
The IFE had so many great kids' choices in the TV and game sections that I didn't want to go to sleep, but my mom insisted. And the bed was really big and comfortable, so I slept well.
Overall, Cathay Pacific First Class is one of my favorite airline seats and beds, and the entertainment is great.
