Come to this resort for pools, views, and seal sightings. We enjoyed a very friendly welcome that completely disarmed us and put us in such a great mood from the outset. The view from the open air lobby didn't hurt either:
.
We were fortunate enough to be in a suite; it was a bit of a hike from the main lobby, but that also meant it enjoyed a great view from the balcony of the pools and beyond them, the ocean:
.
The suite had plenty of space to lounge and curl up with a good book, as well as a good sized bathroom with walk-in shower, separate soaking tub, Toto washlet in the toilet chamber, double sinks, and a walk-in closet.
.
Where you really want to be, however, is outside, preferably in one of the pools or water features, such as the lazy river, the salt water pool, or hot tub.
.
Don't miss a walk on the beach, keeping your eye out for one of the protected seals that like to come sunbathe. Be sure to give them space when taking your photos, don't get too close.
.
Tonight we enjoyed sushi at the resort's Japanese restaurant. The maki we we tried were excellent, but we especially liked the mini “Sushi Pizza” on a little naan bread. Just keep in mind it's an appetizer style portion, you'll need to order several other things for a complete meal.
Can you guess the resort?
