The Chase United VIP Lounge will be open for holiday shoppers at The Mall at Short Hills in New Jersey and at The Westfield San Francisco Centre, November 27-December 24, 2015. If you’re near to either of these malls, it can be a good opportunity to donate toys to kids in need, while also receiving up to two United Club passes (one per toy).
Here are the details:
- Chase VIP Lounge is located on the first floor of the Mall at Short Hills, next to Macy’s
- Open November 27-December 24, 2015 from 11am until mall closing (exception: the Chase VIP Lounge at Short Hills will close at 2pm on December 2 for an Inside Access event)
- Present your valid Chase United Credit Card and valid ID to enter; each Cardmember may bring up to three guests
- Amenities include snacks and beverages, bag and coat check, WiFi, gift wrapping, and TVs, including live games broadcast each Sunday (Football Sundays)
Toys for Tots Tuesdays: Receive United Club Passes
On December 1, 8 and 15, United Cardmembers can bring a new, unwrapped toy and receive one United Club pass. If you bring two toys, you can receive two United Club passes. There is a maximum of two United Club passes per Cardmember, per day.
Note that the toy should be in its original package and have a minimum retail value of $15, United Club passes are given while supplies last, and guests of Cardmembers are NOT eligible to receive United Club passes.

The December 2 event at the Mall at Short Hills is a wine reception with a holiday-inspired appetizer and dessert from each of three featured chefs: Jose Garces (winner of the 2nd season of Iron Chef), Francois Payard (well known pastry chef) and Aaron Sanchez (who tied with Masaharu Morimoto in Iron Chef America's Season 2).
There are two receptions, each of them $75 per person. The first will be 6-7:30pm on Dec. 2, and the second is 8-9:30pm.
Doesn't My Chase United Card Get Me into United Club Lounges Anyway?
The only Chase United card that gives you United Club lounge access is the United MileagePlus Club Card, which carries a hefty $450 annual fee. The United MileagePlus Explorer and United MileagePlus Business cards come with 2 complimentary United Club passes, but for further visits you'd have to pay $50 per person. There is no discount or waived fee for children, so if you bring a child, you also need to use a United Club pass for your child, or pay.
