  • Aer Lingus
  • Aeroplan
  • Air France/KLM Flying Blue
  • Avianca
  • British Airways Avios
  • Delta SkyMiles
  • Emirates Skywards
  • Hawaiian Airlines

  • Singapore KrisFlyer
  • Virgin Atlantic

ANA transfers can take up to 4 days.

Only Worth It for Immediate Redemptions

Last year we transferred some points to British Airways with the 40% transfer bonus, which was an excellent deal for our Iberia Business Class award redemptions, although we also liked the more recent Chase 30% transfer bonus to British Airways, since it's far easier for us to earn Ultimate Rewards points with 3X and 5X category bonuses, thanks to our Ink Business Preferred, Chase Freedom, and Chase Sapphire Reserve cards. Unfortunately, with the lower 25% transfer bonus, we're not tempted this time.

The Virgin Atlantic 30% transfer bonus could be attractive for ANA Business Class to Japan, although keep in mind that Japan still isn't open for fully independent travel; visitors still need to purchase a package tour from a Japanese travel agency (which none of our clients want to do) in order to obtain a visa and visit. See Why Japan Still Hasn't Reopened to Independent Travel.

The Aeroplan transfer bonus is small, at only 15%, but for those looking to use their Aeroplan Flight Reward Certificates from the Aeroplan card and needing a few more Aeroplan points, the 15% transfer bonus is better than the Aeroplan card 10% transfer bonus from Chase Ultimate Rewards.

Finally clients and readers who do have immediate award travel needs and can see ample award availability could find it worthwhile to transfer points if they don't have sufficient frequent flyer miles, since some transfer bonus is better than no transfer bonus.
