Copenhagen's CopenPay offers visitors perks, from complimentary meals or an organic beer to kayaking and extra time green skiing, for making sustainable choices. There's been quite a bit of recent news of overtourism, from protests in Spain against tourists to Venice's day pass fee to Hawaii's Regenerative Tourism Bill that is expected to result in new fees and capacity limits for certain protected areas and sights. It's refreshing to see more of a carrot than a stick approach for encouraging more sustainable visitor behavior.

This is a new, trial program, so the initial dates are July 15-August 11 (although a few places have extended their dates).
