An 80K Chase Sapphire Reserve offer is available, which we've added to our Best Travel Credit Cards page. This is the best signup bonus offer for the card since it debuted six years ago. My husband still has his original Chase Sapphire Reserve, as we highly value it for the ease of earning 3X on all travel and dining spend (saves him having to think about which card to use for these categories) and for its trip cancellation and trip interruption travel insurance protections (see AMEX Trip Cancellation Insurance: Chase Sapphire Reserve Still Better). Thanks to the annual $300 statement credit on travel spend (which is so much easier to use than the AMEX Platinum's $200 airline incidental fee credit), the card's $550 annual fee is effectively $250 per year, which is more than worth it to us. We don't bother with the category bonuses for booking travel with Chase, however, since we typically reserve flights as award bookings, and we obtain better hotel perks reserving with TravelSort's Four Seasons Preferred Partner, Virtuoso, and other luxury hotel preferred partner program benefits.
Here are the offer details:
- Earn 80,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $4000 on the card within the first 3 months of account opening
- $300 annual travel credit
- Earn 3X points on all travel spend
- Earn 3X points on all dining spend
- Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption travel insurance (up to $10,000 per claim, up to $20,000 per covered trip)
- Global Entry or TSA PreCheck fee reimbursement every 4 years
- Priority Pass Select lounge membership
- 10X points on Lyft rides
- $0 DoorDash delivery fee
- No foreign transaction fee
- $550 annual fee
.
Eligibility
Note that to be eligible for the signup bonus, you must not have received a Chase Sapphire bonus (for any Chase Sapphire card) within the past 48 months. Chase typically will only approve you for a new card if you have 4 or fewer credit card applications within the past 24 months, from any card issuer, although most business credit card applications (except for Capital One) don't count against you.

Best Uses of Chase Ultimate Rewards Points
Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to a variety of airline and hotel partners, including Aer Lingus, Air Canada Aeroplan, British Airways Executive Club, Emirates Skywards, Air France/KLM Flying Blue, Iberia Plus, JetBlue TrueBlue, Singapore KrisFlyer, Southwest Rapid Rewards, United MileagePlus, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club (see the current Chase 30% Transfer Bonus to Virgin Atlantic), Marriott Bonvoy, World of Hyatt, and IHG One Rewards.
Whenever we transfer points, our goal is to obtain at least 3 cents per Ultimate Rewards points in value, and ideally more, which is most often the case when transferring to certain frequent flyer programs and redeeming for first class or business class airline tickets. Some of our recent redemptions have included ANA Business Class reserved with Aeroplan points (using a 50K Aeroplan Flight Reward Certificate topped up with points), Iberia Business Class reserved with British Airways Avios, and Turkish Airlines Business Class with United MileagePlus miles.
