Swire Hotels Will Open a Tokyo Luxury Hotel as part of its House Collective (which includes The Upper House in Hong Kong, The Opposite House in Beijing, The Middle House in Shanghai, and The Temple House in Chengdu). The Tokyo hotel, which will be Swire Hotel's first hotel outside of China, hasn't been named yet, so for now we'll refer to it as Tokyo House.

Tokyo House Location
The new hotel will be part of the Shibuya Upper West project, a redevelopment of the Tokyu Department Store. It's located about a 1 hour drive from Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT), a 25 minute drive from Tokyo Haneda (HND), a 25 minute walk from Meiji Jingu, a 17 minute drive from Tokyo Station, and a 10-15 minute walk from Yoyogi Park, which boasts scenic cherry blossoms in the spring.

Tokyo House Hotel
The luxury hotel, which is due for completion in 2027, will be part of the 36-story Shibuya Upper West tower designed by Norwegian architecture and design firm Snøhetta, but luxury residences will occupy the top floors, above the hotel. The hotel will occupy six floors below the middle of the tower, and include The Sanctuary, a casual space with verdant roof terraces for visitors to relax. Below The Sanctuary is The Hive, a lively atrium surrounded by shops and restaurants. Further hotel-specific features and amenities have yet to be announced, but we'd expect there to be ~100 rooms and suites, in line with the other hotels in the House Collective.
