Anguilla Ends Pre-Arrival COVID-19 Testing for Vaccinated Travelers on August 8, 2022, good news for our clients bound for Four Seasons Anguilla late summer and beyond. To be exempt, vaccinated travelers must provide proof of full vaccination to their airline at check-in, and on arrival to St. Maarten SXM and Angulla. Until 8/8/22, even fully vaccinated travelers will continue to need negative results from an RT-PCR test taken within 3 days prior to travel or a qualifying rapid antigen test administered by a health professional within 2 days prior to travel. Until 8/8/22, vaccinated arrivals will also need to pay $50 for a COVID-19 test on arrival, unless they can show proof of a COVID-19 booster dose (or if they were fully vaccinated within 6 months before entering Anguilla).
Anguilla's change follows that of several other destinations; Turks & Caicos Dropped Its Pre-Travel Testing requirement May 1, 2022, the Cayman Islands Ended Pre-Arrival Testing for for Fully Vaccinated Travelers on June 30, 2022, New Zealand ended Pre-Departure Testing for Fully Vaccinated Visitors on June 20, 2022, and Australia no longer requires a negative COVID-19 test for inbound travelers.
A few destinations are going the other way, however: Canada has resumed random COVID-19 testing of fully vaccinated international arrivals, and Japan still hasn't reopened to independent visitors, only to tour groups who are chaperoned and must wear a mask at all times.
