Iceland Reopens to All, No Testing or Vaccination Required

Iceland is Reopening to All Visitors, with No Testing or Vaccination Required as of February 25, 2022. As with Denmark's dropping of COVID-19 restrictions, the news comes as Iceland's new cases have climbed to a 7-day average daily high of over 2500, although at time of writing there are no cases in the ICU, and Iceland has seen only a handful of deaths over the entire pandemic.

Along with removing COVID-19 entry restrictions, Iceland is lifting restrictions on social gatherings, school operations, and capacity restrictions on restaurants and bars. There is also no longer a quarantine requirement for those who test positive for COVID-19.

Iceland's Minister of Health, Willum þór þórsson, nonetheless encouraged everyone to “be careful, practice personal infection prevention measures and not to interact with others if they notice symptoms.”
