Sleeping at Hong Kong Airport: Which Lounges?

Which Hong Kong Airport lounges offer sleeping rooms? I've been looking into where to sleep in Hong Kong Airport, since later this year the munchkin and I have a nearly 5 hour layover between flights. The munchkin will definitely need a place to sleep for a few hours, since we have a flight just after midnight, and I'd like to get some sleep too, since our onward flight is less than 5 hours so it will only be at best a half night of sleep on board.

Here are the options, in case you're also looking to catch some sleep at Hong Kong Airport and don't have the time or inclination to get the Airport Express all the way to a Hong Kong or Kowloon hotel:

1. Plaza Premium Lounge (West Hall, Terminal 1, Near Gate 40)

There are three Plaza Premium Lounges at Hong Kong Airport, one airside in Terminal 1 near Gate 40, a Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 1 near Gate 1 (avoid this one–plus it can't be booked in advance anyway) and an Arrival Lounge (see below). Both offer private sleeping rooms with en suite shower, which I recommend reserving in advance since there are only a few of them, and they may all be booked if you arrive without a reservation.

It's a little pricey, at $80 for 3 hours per person, or $119 for 6 hours, but for some quality sleep when you need it most, it's really one of the best options, especially on a shorter connection where going to an airport hotel isn't worth it. The other good thing is that the lounge is open 24 hours, unlike the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong airport lounges, which close at either 11:30 (The Pier) or after the last flight of the night (The Wing).

2. Plaza Premium Lounge (Arrival Hall)

There's a Plaza Premium Lounge in the Arrival Hall that claims to be the world's first arrival lounge. It's located on Level 3 of Terminal 2, below the Airport Express platform.

I would rank this lower than the West Hall lounge, given that you have to clear immigration to get to it, and there also seem to be more reports of noise for guests trying to sleep in this lounge. The pricing is exactly the same: $80 for 3 hours per person, or $119 for 6 hours in a private sleeping room with en suite shower. Note that this applies to children as well, unless they are under 2.

3. Private Cabana Suite at Cathay Pacific The Wing First Class Lounge

If you're fortunate enough to be flying Cathay Pacific First Class or are a oneworld Emerald elite or Marco Polo Club Diamond elite departing on a oneworld flight, you can access Cathay Pacific's The Wing First Class Lounge, and request a Cabana. Note that there are just 5 Cabanas, so chances are they may all be occupied when you arrive, and you'll need to add your name to a wait list. The Cabanas aren't ideal to actually sleep in, however–the day bed is not a full length bed, and you're not supposed to occupy them longer than about 90 minutes in any case.

4. Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel

The Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott is 10 minutes away from Hong Kong Airport, with a free shuttle bus from Terminal 2, so it's not as convenient as some other cities' airport hotels that are across from or connected to the airport (such as the Novotel Bangkok Airport hotel, for example). That said, it's by far your best chance of getting quality sleep, with a comfortable bed. It's very pricey, however–even regular rooms will typically will run you over $200, and could be closer to $300 for the night, depending on your date.
