AMEX Offers: AMEX Travel, Whole Foods, Levi's, Hugo Boss

AMEX Offers include $100 off $600 from AMEX Travel, an Extra Point per Dollar at Whole Foods, 5000 AMEX Points for Hugo Boss, and 2500 points offers for Levi's and Stitch Fix.

To see your targeted AMEX offers, you must log into your AMEX account and scroll down the page. As the offers are targeted, so you may or may not see these deals for your AMEX cards. Simply click on "Add to Card" to add the offer to your AMEX card, and use that same card to make the purchase. If you add the offer to one AMEX card but use a different AMEX card for the purchase, you won't qualify for the offer.

I generally earn 5X on all my grocery spend, using an Ink Plus to buy Whole Foods gift cards at Staples at 5X, and from Trader Joe's gift cards that I'm stocking up on with our 3 Chase Freedom cards while grocery stores are a 5X category, such as this quarter (see Activate Chase Freedom 5X for Grocery Stores and Drugstores, Q2 2017). But sometimes I've run out of Whole Foods gift cards, so with my AMEX Blue for Business card, which for the rest of this year earns 2X on all purchases, this will be an extra point, for 3X per dollar at Whole Foods. Those who have the Whole Foods offer on their AMEX EveryDay Preferred will do even better, since that card earns 4.5X on U.S. supermarket spend up to $6000 a year, as long as you use the card 30 or more times in a billing cycle.

In any case, here are the offer details:

1. Whole Foods: Extra Point per Dollar

  • Get 1 additional Membership Rewards point per dollar spent on in-store purchases, using your enrolled card, at Whole Foods by 12/31/17
  • Valid at U.S. Whole Foods locations only
  • Excludes purchases made at coffee bars, restaurants and food trucks. Excludes Wine Club, Allegro Coffee, delivery, catering, cooking classes, tours, spas, donations (Whole Kids, Whole Planet, Whole Cities). Excludes bulk and corporate gift cards.

2. AmexTravel.com: $100 Off $600 for Prepaid Hotels

  • Get a one-time $100 statement credit by using your enrolled card to make a single purchase of $600 or more for a prepaid hotel booking at amextravel.com by 5/31/17
  • Valid only on U.S. Web site
  • Excludes Fine Hotels & Resorts bookings
  • Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 5/31/17

3. HUGO BOSS: Spend $250 or More, Earn 5000 Membership Rewards Points

  • Get 5000 additional Membership Rewards points using your enrolled card to spend $250+ in one or more eligible transactions by 5/11/17
  • Valid in-store and online
  • Excludes airport locations and locations inside department stores
  • Excludes wholesale purchases

4. Levi's: Spend $125+, Get 2500 Membership Rewards Points

  • Get 2500 additional Membership Rewards points using your enrolled card to spend $125+ in-store at Levi's by 6/3/17
  • Not valid on online purchases or online purchases placed through a sales associate.
  • Excludes partner retail locations

5. Stitch Fix: Spend $50+, Get 2500 Membership Rewards Points

  • Get 2500 additional Membership Rewards points using your enrolled card to spend $50+ online at stitchfix.com by 7/16/17
  • Additional points will be credited to your Program account within 90 days after 7/16/2017

Hi Hilary, I am new to AMEX Offers, I have SPG Personal and Business cards. I did not see the Wholefoods offer. Can you please shed a light? Thank you Tara

Veena, thanks for your comment. AMEX offers are targeted, so you might see only one or two (or none) of these offers on a given card. All of these offers were on my AMEX Business Platinum and most were also on my AMEX Blue for Business, including the Whole Foods offer. If you do have a lot of Whole Foods spend and if you have a business, you might consider getting the Ink Business Preferred card, even though it bonuses 3X on office supply spend vs. 5X of the old Ink Plus, which is no longer available for applications. By buying Whole Foods gift cards with it at an office supply store, you can regularly get 3X on all Whole Foods spend. And if you have the Chase Freedom activated for this quarter, that gets 5X at all grocery stores.
