The Beaumont Mayfair is in a prime London location at 8 Balderton Street across from Brown Hart Gardens, a short walk from Hyde Park, a 3-minute walk from Bond Street Tube Station, and walking distance to Mayfair and Soho restaurants and shopping.

The Beaumont Mayfair Check-In
We dropped our luggage off in the morning, prior to a commitment, and returned in the early afternoon. The front desk is to the right after entering, just past a beautiful flower arrangement.
.
It was before regular 3pm check-in time, but we were assured that our upgraded room was almost ready, and invited to relax in the Le Magritte Bar with a complimentary pineapple juice, which we appreciated.
.
Mayfair Suite
We were graciously upgraded to a Mayfair Suite; these suites are true one bedroom suites that are 870-940 sq. ft. (81-87 sq. m.) in size. While each has its own layout, due to the vagaries of the 1920s building, but most, as ours did, overlook Brown Hart Gardens:
.
Ours had an open plan living and dining area:
.
An amenity of fresh fruit and half bottle of Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve welcomed us, and complimentary juices and soft drinks in the mini bar is another nice touch.
.
The bedroom is fully closed off from the living room with a sliding wooden door, and the king bed can instead be made up as two twin bed mattresses, convenient since I was traveling with my teen.
.
The Mayfair Suite's marble bathroom enjoys double sinks, a rain shower, separate toilet, and a soaking tub. The Superior Studios have similar bathrooms, but lower category rooms such as Classic, Superior, and Superior Grand Rooms generally only have a single sink and a walk-in shower (no bathtub).
.
The Mayfair Suite also has an additional guest half bathroom, as well as a walk-in closet.

Breakfast at The Colony Grill
The Colony Grill serves breakfast from 7-10:15am daily.
.
We started off with fresh squeezed grapefruit/orange juice and a seasonal berry juice, both of them delicious.
.
My teen chose the French Toast, which was some of the best he's had in recent memory, especially with the rich clotted cream, sour cherries, and maple syrup.
.
I went savory, with a Duck Egg Hash dish, choosing the mushroom, spinach and potato hash; this was also excellent, and attractively plated.
.
Even a simple yoghurt with forest berry compote was a stand-out, the yogurt exceptionally creamy.
.
And the cortado I finished off with was strong and well-crafted.

The Verdict
The Beaumont Mayfair is easy to miss among flashier London luxury hotels, but it's one that our most frequent London travelers return to again and again, thanks to excellent service, its convenient Mayfair location, some of London's most recently renovated rooms and suites, and more reasonable pricing. Highly recommended for guests who want a boutique, understated stay in Mayfair.
