Rosewood Hotel Bauer Will Open in Venice, Italy in 2025 after a multi-million dollar renovation commencing November 2022. The news follows the recent announcement that the Hotel Danieli Venezia, a Four Seasons Hotel, will open in 2025. Both hotels are in prime locations; the Hotel Bauer is located a 5 minute walk from St. Mark's Square and a 10 minute walk from the Rialto Bridge, as well as a 10 minute walk from the Hotel Danieli.
The reflagged hotel will be Rosewood's third in Italy, after the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany and the Rosewood Rome, slated to open in 2024, and Rosewood's seventh in Europe, joining the Rosewood London, Hotel de Crillon in Paris, Rosewood Villa Magna in Madrid, and Rosewood Vienna, which is to open later this summer, 2022.
Originally built in 1880, Hotel Bauer's new design post-renovation will still include the palace's original façade, grand staircase, and other historical elements. While the current Bauer Palazzo has 191 rooms and suites, the Rosewood Hotel Bauer will have just over 110 keys, more than half of them suites, including several signature suites and one presidential suite.
Dining options will include a fine-dining restaurant and bar with a rooftop terrace, as well as a bistro-style restaurant and bar on the ground floor. The renovated property will also boast an outdoor pool with a bar located on the eighth floor and a Rosewood Spa.
