What are the most punctual airlines in 2023? Globally, the most punctual airlines for February 2023 (the most recent month available) were KLM and Iberia, with nearly 90% on-time arrivals, although if smaller Oman Air and Austrian Airlines is taken into account, they would lead with nearly 93% and over 91%, respectively. In Asia, JAL was the most punctual of the full service airlines, with over 85% on-time arrivals, while in the U.S., Delta achieved just under 85% for its on-time arrival rate. Among Middle Eastern and African full service airlines, Oman Air led with nearly 93% on-time arrivals, followed by Royal Jordanian (88%) and Etihad Airways (86%). And in South America, Copa Airlines led (94%) followed by Avianca (88%).

While there's always the risk of a potential delay from weather, a delayed incoming aircraft, a mechanical or labor issue, etc., knowing which airlines in each region have tended to be more punctual can be helpful when deciding which airline to fly.
