LAX Fast Lane is a new way for travelers to reserve a time to clear security at Los Angeles International Airport in an expedited way, if they don't already have TSA PreCheck.
LAX Fast Lane Location and Airlines
LAX Fast Lane is located in Terminal 7, so it makes most sense for flyers traveling on United Airlines or United Express out of Terminal 7 or Terminal 8.
How to Book LAX Fast Lane
Book your LAX Fast Lane appointment within the 24 hours prior to your flight. Reservations, which must be made at least one hour before flight departure, are available from 6:30am-1pm, with a 15 minute grace period. You'll be asked for your flight date, time, flight number, and group size, and your appointment must be no earlier than 4 hours before your flight time and no later than 1 hour before your flight time. You'll receive a confirmation email with a QR code.
How Many Travelers Can Be Booked With One Appointment?
Up to 10 passengers can use one LAX Fast Lane appointment if they're traveling on the same flight.
Can LAX Fast Lane Times Be Changed or Cancelled?
Yes; the confirmation email includes a link to click on to cancel or reschedule.
Can LAX Fast Lane Be Used if Departing From a Terminal Other Than Terminals 7 and 8?
Yes; since Terminals 4-8 and the International Terminal are connected post-security, you could use LAX Fast Lane even if departing from another terminal. That said, given the time to access the other terminals, most times it won't make sense to use it unless flying out of Terminals 6, 7 or 8. Terminal 6 airlines include Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Boutique Air, Horizon, Southern Air.
Is LAX Fast Lane Free?
Yes, at time of writing, LAX Fast Lane is a pilot and is free to reserve and use. Just note that you won't be able to use it if you already have TSA PreCheck or Clear.
