.
This edition of Guess the Resort is from a rugged landscape in a part of the country that many first-time visitors don't travel to. On the way there I sped by snowy forests, and approaching the entrance there was the sound of rushing water between snowy banks.
.
But there's no need to forego luxury, quite the opposite. A daily afternoon tea in the lobby lounge features Pierre Herme pastries, some of my favorite in the world. His signature macarons and Ispahan rose-litchi raspberry pastry are also available to take away.
.
Or cozy up in the nearby bar as snow falls outside.
.
I was soon comfortably ensconced in my room, where I appreciated the clean lines, high ceilings, spacious bathroom, and excellent natural light.
.
A highlight was the soaking tub on the patio (with mountain view) which fills with hot natural spring water at the push of a button.
.
Not to fret, if you don't have an individual hot tub in your room or suite; there's also hot spring water at the spa.
.
In addition to luscious Pierre Herme pastries, cuisine is a highlight. At the breakfast buffet there are locally made cheeses, house baked pastries, cooked to order eggs and other savory dishes, and one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had. Kids aren't forgotten either, with their own mini buffet.
.
In the evening, it's hard to choose among the various options. Cook your own meal with a satisfying hot pot, accompanied by various sauces, savor sushi at the sushi bar, or indulge in French, Chinese, or Italian cuisine.
.
Can you guess the resort and where it's located?

Park Hyatt Niseko
Yes! If you’ve stayed at the Park Hyatt Niseko, how was your experience?
I haven’t stayed, I just happened to be doing research for a summer Hokkaido trip and checking points options. Looks beautiful and your food review was also positive, so I now want to go.
