This Oceanfront Luxury Resort with Sunny Weather Most of the Year Opened Just 2 Years Ago in 2019 and is a 2.5 hour flight from LAX.
Even entry level rooms are very private and spacious, at 750 square feet, and all of them enjoy an ocean view as well as a private plunge pool (first photo above).
.
Bathrooms, which close off from the bedroom with wooden doors, offer double sinks, a vanity, deep soaking tub, and both an indoor rain shower and outdoor stone shower. Rooms are tastefully finished, with high ceilings, warm wood, and natural stone.

The resort prides itself on personalized butler service, and here results were a bit mixed. While very friendly, our butler didn't follow through on our requests for an allergen-free birthday cake (only after we questioned F&B did we learn our amenity in fact had the allergen we'd alerted the resort about), a tea kettle, a departure transfer, or a late check-out. We had to follow up on these ourselves the next day.
That said, the replacement allergen-free cake which we obtained by communicating directly with F&B was fantastic–easily the most delicious dessert of our trip, and one of the best birthday cake amenities we've received in recent memory.
.
Dinner at the resort's signature restaurant was also very good, particularly my husband's cast iron seafood rice dish. Oshiburi cleansing towels at the start of the meal, choice of lemon, lime or orange in our water, warm homemade sourdough bread, and a musical birthday congratulations were welcome aspects that elevated the meal.
.
Breakfast the following day was more lackluster, but the one dish that drew raves was our son's dish, a kind of cross between brioche french toast and bread pudding, crowned with cinnamon sugar, whipped cream, bananas and berries.
.
The Spa at this resort was larger and more extensive than the other spas we visited this trip, although unfortunately all the facilities are only available to guests who have reserved spa treatments.
.
The main infinity pool and jacuzzi at the resort is open to all, and there's also a separate adults-only pool a level down, closer to the beach.
.
The beach itself is great to walk along, although the ocean isn't swimmable due to the steep drop-off and rip tides.
