Guess the Resort: All Sea Views, Space, Superb Dining

.

This Luxury Resort Opened in 2020, so it still looks and feels very fresh. Rather uniquely, each and every room and suite has an ocean view, and the restaurants also make the most of the location with two of them offering toes in the sand dining.

There was no line to check in, so we soon had our card keys and were invited to request a golf cart to get to our room. We asked how long it would take to walk to our building, and since it was only three minutes, we easily walked our carry-ons to our building and took the elevator up to our room, which was on the 4th floor. Inside we found a king bed, sofa bed, bathroom with double sinks and large walk-in rain shower, and a spacious private terrace with a great ocean view:

One of the things we noticed immediately was how much space there was: plenty of available loungers around the multiple pools, including the main infinity pool, kids' pool with a water slide, and the serene adult pool.

Breakfast was probably the time we saw the most guests at one time, but even then there were ample friendly staff to assist, and we felt well taken care of. It helps that in addition to the restaurant off the lobby, which serves both a breakfast buffet and a la carte, a restaurant right on the beach also serves an a la carte breakfast, toes in the sand if you wish.

We were impressed with the dining options and quality, from delicious blueberry waffles with bacon, candied pecans and maple syrup at breakfast to the resort's signature restaurant, with one of our favorite fresh bread assortments ever (try the chili roll), tasty amuse bouche, and excellent seafood and meat preparations.

The resort appeals to couples, with its adult pool, spa, fine dining, and plunge pool suites:

Well-heeled families will also enjoy the resort; there are plenty of one bedroom and two bedroom suite options, some with a full kitchen, a game room with ping pong and foosball, a kids' club for the youngest kids, bikes to borrow, tennis, pickleball, and basketball, and of course the beach, where boogie boards can be rented.

Conrad Punta de Mita!

To be honest, I didn’t love it. I rank the Conrad Punta Mita the 115th best resort I’ve stayed at in the last ~10 years. Prior to staying at the Conrad, we stayed at the One and Only Mandarina, which I currently rank my 2nd favorite resort and Imanta (which is only 0.3 miles away and shares the same beach!) ranked as the 21st best resort I’ve stayed at. Room choice ultimately plays a big role and we were fortunate to have stayed at the nicest room in the entire resort both at O&O and at Imanta. A comparison is… Read more »

Yes, your hunch was definitely spot on! It was just my wife and I. And yes, we do tend to prefer smaller resorts. That said, despite the Conrad seeing fairly high occupancy during Thanksgiving weekend, the pools and restaurants never felt full. It definitely seemed like a great place for families =).
