Guess the Private Island: Beach, Seclusion, Cuisine

We love private island luxury: a beach to call your own, toes in the sand luxury. The only wrinkle: many entail quite an odyssey to get to, at least for our U.S.-based clients. But this one is far more convenient, at least for those based on the East Coast.

Enjoy a cool towel on arrival, with a chilled welcome drink of champagne or refreshing juice.

You're then whisked off in a golf cart to your beach bungalow or private villa.

We loved the setup of the beach bungalows, right on powdery white sand, with a hammock as well as lounge chairs to enjoy the view, as well as a private pool.

There's an outdoor shower, and indoors, the dual his and hers shower is also a treat.

Private villas are perfect for extended family or couples traveling together. We were especially taken with this estate villa, with its views, private pool, games area, and its own fitness room and spa treatment room.

The island offers a luxury all inclusive experience, from the included transfers if flying commercial into the country's main airport (it's also possible to fly private directly to the island), to a la carte meals and snacks (accompanied by fresh pressed juices, beer, house wine, espresso drinks, premium spirits), to non-motorized water sports and complimentary morning and sunset yoga classes and kids' activities for little ones.

For lunch, the bar team made a fantastic pineapple mocktail, and we loved a goat croquette amuse bouche, tuna carpaccio atop homemade pickled beetroot, and crusted grouper roulade. Absolutely superb.

There are two clay tennis courts and a dedicated pickleball court for racquet sport enthusiasts, and don't miss a workout in the fitness center, with its great view, or yoga on the outdoor platform above it.
