Guess the Resort: Views, Seclusion, Innovation

.

Sometimes we include so many photos in our “Guess the Resort” posts that they're too easy, and guessed right away. While anyone who's been to this resort will still likely guess it correctly from our first photo, we'll have just five photos this time to make it a bit more challenging.

After quite a long car ride, we were thrilled to arrive and be welcomed with a cool oshibori towel and incredibly refreshing welcome drinks of ginger-pineapple.

Once in our room, we were treated to more ocean views, as well as some of the most innovative chocolate welcome amenities we've seen: chocolate caramel planets, and a chocolate tree trunk complete with moss and lichens:

Including too many room photos would give it away, but I do love having a sea view from the bathroom (and yes, that's a hammock hanging outside):

It's fantastic having a private infinity pool long enough to swim laps in.

In addition to one's private infinity pool, there are multiple resort pools, including a family pool, relaxation pool, and adults-only pool overlooking one of the beaches.

The abundant breakfast buffet was a delight, and fueled us for our activities, including hiking, shore fishing, working out in the resort's well-equipped gym, and cooking classes. A la carte menu options are also offered.

Dinner by the beach with a sunset view is a must; this hamachi appetizer was one of our favorite seafood dishes of all time:

Four Seasons Tamarindo

I’ve been trying to go since it opened. It feels like the next One and Only Mandarina, which I loved. That said, it’s really hard to get to from the East Coast and I could never make the logistics work. The new FS flight from PVR definitely helps change that.

A friend of mine visited FS Tamarindo last year and loved it there as well. Hilary, what is it like for families with children and do the rooms accomodate 2 children without having to book a larger 2-bedroom suite?
