Guess the Luxury Hotel: Oasis in the Capital

Can you guess this luxury hotel, an oasis in a capital city of nearly 3 million? Originally opened in 1959, the hotel was renovated in 2021, and remains our top recommendation in the city. It's only an 18-20 minute drive from the airport, so you won't have a long ride before being welcomed into its elegant lobby, currently adorned for the festive season.

Thanks to the lovely park views from many of its rooms and suites (each room has its own private balcony), as well as many connecting room and suite possibilities, it's ideal for both couples and families or extended families traveling together.

Swimmers can head to the indoor pool, or in the warmer months, typically March to October, take a dip in the new outdoor pool.

Whatever you do, don't miss breakfast (which our TravelSort Clients enjoy complimentary). This is easily among the very best breakfast buffets we've seen in any city hotel, with a plethora of high quality choices, as well as the option to order egg dishes cooked to order. We wished our appetite was larger so that we could have sampled more dishes. The festive and exotic red anthurium displays added such elegance to the repast.
