Cruises Requiring Vaccine Booster Shots

Several Cruise Lines Will Require Vaccine Booster Shots for passengers eligible for them, joining these travel destinations that require COVID-19 booster shots. We'll continue to update this page as we become aware of additional cruise lines that require booster shots.

Azamara Cruises

As of March 1, 2022, Azamara requires all passengers age 5 and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days prior to embarkation, and those who are eligible for a vaccine booster shot (5 months after the final dose of Pfizer or Moderna, 2 months after J&J/Janssen) must have gotten one.

The vaccine and booster requirement is in addition to testing: Azamara recommends that all guests take a COVID-19 test within the 72 hours prior to boarding, and all passengers are required to undergo an antigen test at the terminal, prior to embarkation.

Lindblad Expeditions

Lindblad Expeditions at time of writing requires both full vaccination for all passengers (including children) and a booster shot for all passengers age 12 and older, if they received their final vaccine dose 5 months or more ago.

The vaccine and booster requirements are in addition to a required COVID-19 PCR test, which must be taken between 120-72 hours prior to embarkation and produce negative results.

Silversea Cruises

Silversea Cruises requires all passengers to be fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior to their sailing date, and as of March 1, 2022, all passengers eligible for booster shots must have taken them.

As with other cruise lines, all Silversea passengers are required to take a complimentary COVID-19 rapid antigen test immediately prior to boarding, and must receive a negative result to board.

Viking Cruises

Viking Cruises requires passengers to be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to sailing, and as of February 1, 2022, passengers eligible for a booster shot must have had one.
