Activate the Chase Freedom 5X Bonus Categories for Q3 2022: Gas Stations, Rental Car Agencies, Movie Theaters, and Select Live Entertainment. These seem perfectly timed for summer road trips, although the first two won't be of much use to cardholders who are flying rather than driving to destinations, or who are getting there in an electric vehicle.

Maximizing the 5X Bonuses
Gas Stations: Even for those who are going on road trips and buying gas, if you have multiple Chase Freedom cards, it could be challenging to spend $1500 per card over Q3 2022. Instead, find qualifying gas stations that sell gift cards to stores you'll buy from later, front loading your spend.
Car Rental Agencies: If you have your own car insurance, you'll likely want to initially make the reservation using your Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Sapphire Reserve, since both cards offer primary insurance (just be sure to decline the rental agency's CDW). After the rental however, switch the payment card to the Chase Freedom in order to earn 5X points per dollar. The Chase Freedom does NOT offer primary insurance; its insurance is secondary to your own car rental insurance, which is why you don't want to use it to make the initial reservation.
Live Entertainment: For purposes of earning 5X during Q3 2022, Chase includes concerts, theater productions, museums, major sporting events, amusement parks, circuses, zoos and aquariums, and carnivals. Note that ticket agencies, as third parties, are NOT included, and neither are bowling alleys, horse racing tracks, casinos, or dance halls/dance clubs.

Overall, if you can find a gas station that sells gift cards, this could be a decent quarter, although we definitely preferred the Q1 2022 5X bonus for grocery stores. This is also why my husband and I have 5 Chase Freedom cards between the two of us, since some quarters are easier for us to maximize than others. Earning 5X on a significant portion of our spend helps with earning Ultimate Rewards points that transfer 1:1 to United MileagePlus, British Airways Avios, Singapore KrisFlyer and other frequent flyer programs, giving us award redemptions in Qatar Qsuites, JAL Sky Suite Business Class, SWISS Business Class, United Polaris, and others.
