Capella Florence, Italy will open in 2027 as the first Capella hotel in Europe. The Singaporean luxury hotel and resort company currently has 8 properties, all of them in Asia. Capella Macau is expected to open later in 2025, and Capella Kyoto is slated for 2026, which is also when Capella Riyadh will become the first Capella in the Middle East.

Getting to Capella Florence
Florence Airport (FLR) is only a 20 minute drive from Capella Florence; there are nonstop flights from Amsterdam AMS, Lisbon LIS, London City and London Stansted, Madrid MAD, Paris CDG, Vienna VIE, and Zurich ZRH, among others. The hotel is a similar 20 min. driving distance from Firenze Santa Maria Novella, Florence's main train station, which connects the city by high speed rail to Rome (1 hour 36 min.), Milan (2 hours), Venice (2 hours 15 min.), and Naples (3 hours).

Located on Via San Gallo, the Capella Florence will be in the historic former Sant'Agata convent. It's about a 17-minute walk to the Duomo and a 22-minute walk or 10-minute drive to the Uffizi Galleries.

A separate Clubhouse will be home to a 6450 sq. ft. Capella Spa with hydro pool, fitness center and café, while an indoor amphitheatre will pay homage to the site's 800-year tradition of creativity and cultural exchange, elevated through the lens of Capella's visionary curation and crafted hospitality.
