Apple: 4X Miles Today for Alaska, AA, United, Delta

.

For Apple Purchases, Earn 4X Miles per Dollar via Frequent Flyer Shopping Portals today, March 7, 2022. The portals with the 4X offer are Alaska MileagePlan, American AAdvantage, United MileagePlus, and Delta SkyMiles. Other portals are lower: JetBlue TrueBlue is 3X, Aer Lingus is 3X, and British Airways and Southwest are only 2X. Use a credit card such as the AMEX Blue Business Plus to earn an additional 2X points per dollar.

Of these portals, Alaska MileagePlan and American AAdvantage have the best award charts, although we've used many more United MileagePlus miles recently. We like Delta Airlines operationally, but we hate its SkyMiles program, which has a terrible award chart–so bad that Delta hasn't published its award charts since 2015.

Typically there's no bonus for Apple purchases via shopping portals, a 4X offer only occurs about once a month, so this today is a good day to earn extra miles towards award travel if you have Apple purchases to make anyway.

Note that certain items are excluded from the bonus offer:

To qualify for rewards, you must complete your purchase within the same session you start the purchase without exiting your browser. Opening a new tab or returning later will result in rewards not tracking. Products not eligible for rewards are MacBook Pro M1 Pro and M1 Max 14-inch and 16-inch, iPad (9th generation), all-new iPad mini, Apple Pro Display XDR, gift cards, gift wrap, Apple Developer Programs, and shipping. Orders purchased on the Government or Veterans and Military Stores are not eligible for rewards. Apple sells and ships products to end user customers only; you may not purchase for resale. Eligible only to a customer for up to five (5) units per eligible product, except iPhone, in which case only two (2) units within a thirty-day (30-day) period are eligible. Not eligible on purchases made with coupon or discount codes that are not found on this site. Not eligible on gift cards, gift certificates or any other similar cash equivalents. Purchases made with a gift card may be ineligible.

.

Also note that if you're planning to purchase a new iPhone (for example because you're on an old phone with 3G that will no longer be supported–T-Mobile/Sprint is shutting down 3G on 3/31/22, Verizon is ending 3G support on 12/31/22) you may be better off taking your mobile carrier's trade-in offer, if you're willing to commit to a new 24 month plan. This could knock $500 or so off your new phone's cost, which is a better deal than earning an extra 3X points per dollar.
