Planning a Paris honeymoon and wondering what the best Paris honeymoon hotels are? Let's cut to the chase: the top Paris luxury hotels aren't cheap–this isn't Bangkok, after all. But Paris at its best is truly a fantastic honeymoon destination, especially if you and your partner enjoy Michelin star dining, the best bread and pastries anywhere, taking in artistic masterpieces in the world class museums, a lazy afternoon in the gorgeous Luxembourg Gardens, or simply people watching from a cafe.
Based on my own experiences and those of my TravelSort Hotels clients, these are my top Paris honeymoon hotels recommendations:
1. Four Seasons Paris George V
The first thing you notice after being welcomed by the doormen to the Four Seasons and upon entering the hotel are the stunning and dramatic floral arrangements by Artistic Director Jeff Leatham and his team. But that is just the beginning. Service here is unparalleled. I kid you not that after inadvertently leaving my camera in the ladies' room off of the lobby, a staff member found it and turned it into reception, which returned it to me in time to take photos of our decadent lunch at Le Cinq, the hotel's signature restaurant. The housekeeping team likewise goes above and beyond the call of duty, for example noticing an item that needs to be repaired or mended and having it repaired while guests are out for the day.
If this is your first time in Paris, you should be aware that most Paris hotel rooms are tiny, at least by U.S. standards–it's not uncommon for a standard room to be under 200 square feet, and for the hotel's largest room or even suite to be around 350 square feet. If you'd like the luxury of space while on your Paris honeymoon, this is another excellent reason to choose the Four Seasons Paris, where the Superior Room, at 398-430 square feet, is likely the largest standard room in Paris.
Don't Miss: Lunch or dinner at Le Cinq, a swim in the hotel's pool, with its romantic trompe de l'oeil mural, Bulgari bath amenities
Many of my clients request the Hotel Plaza Athenee (perhaps a few influenced by its appearance in Sex in the City?) In any case, even the facade is the face of quintessential French elegance, adorned with window boxes of red flowers. Rooms are either in the classic French style or Art Deco, with sumptuous silk upholstered furniture, fine attention to detail, Dior bath amenities (the spa is Dior Institut) and of course discreet yet friendly service. There's no question that you'll be in excellent hands with the Concierge staff both here and at the Four Seasons Paris, and for a honeymoon couple this can be invaluable.
The breakfast here is sumptuous, drawing local businessmen and well-heeled visitors alike, and served in the hotel's Alain Ducasse restaurant, which some have described as “like being on a film set.” This is definitely the place to indulge in award-winning pastries, perhaps a croissant plaza réalisé au beurre noisette et vrai miel d’acacia (croissant with hazelnut butter and acacia honey), chocolate brioche, or one of the myriad other choices along with the best housemade chocolate hazelnut spread you've ever tasted. Accompany with some freshly squeezed strawberry juice or one of the other fresh squeezed juices.

3. Le Burgundy
Le Burgundy is my favorite luxury boutique hotel in Paris, with its modern decor, light flooded interior atrium, chic and colorful rooms, and even a swimming pool, which very few Paris boutique hotels can boast. While I stayed here with my family, it would make the perfect Paris honeymoon hotel for a couple that wants a more intimate boutique hotel experience.
Don't Miss: The pool, with its fountain and mood lighting, welcome chocolates and housemade marshmellows
4. Park Hyatt Paris Vendome
There's no question the Park Hyatt Paris is the best deal for a Paris honeymoon hotel that you can book with points. Critics note that the hotel (as is true of several Park Hyatts) could be almost anywhere due to its modern decor, but of course the staff is French and for many, make the hotel. I wouldn't expect the kind of service you'll get at the Four Seasons or Hotel Plaza Athenee, but it's still very good. Set on rue de Berri, just off the Champs Elysees, this boutique hotel with 40 rooms is almost as if you were staying in the mansion of a wealthy Parisian friend. Aim to stay in a Junior Suite on one of the top floors, where the bathroom is flooded with natural light. Most of the suites offer jacuzzi baths, and all rooms offer in-room Nespresso machines, perfect for making yourself an espresso to enjoy with the complimentary sweets thoughtfully provided as a welcome amenity.
Don't Miss: Hermes bath amenities, breakfast buffet (order the hot chocolate!)
