This Andaz Scottsdale review, photos, and video is from our recent site inspection stay. The resort is located at 6114 North Scottsdale Road, about a 20-30 minute drive from Phoenix International Airport (PHX). If you're not renting a car, it can be reached by Waymo self-driving car service, which operates in Phoenix, as well as San Francisco and downtown Los Angeles.
The resort is low-rise, with bungalows. This is the courtyard area outside of reception:

Reception, as at other Andaz resorts, isn't a front desk per se, but rather a couple blocks around which Andaz hosts check guests in. There's ample lobby lounge seating.

Andaz Scottsdale Pools and Recreation
The resort's main family pool, the Turquoise Pool, is a short walk from reception and Weft & Warp restaurant. There are plenty of pool loungers, which is a good thing, since it was quite busy when we visited in the late afternoon.

About a 7-8 minute walk away is the fitness center:

Nearby is Palo Verde Spa, and the Palo Verde Spa Apothecary Pool, which is the resort's adults-only pool.

There's also a Retreat Pool, available exclusively to guests staying in Retreat accommodation. The resort offers a number of activities, complimentary and for a fee, which are displayed on a board in the reception area:

Weft & Warp Art Kitchen and Bar
Weft & Warp is the resort's only restaurant, apart from the Pool Bar offerings. While we didn't have the chance to try breakfast (complimentary to our clients as a Hyatt Privé benefit) since we had breakfast plans elsewhere, we did try it for dinner: see our Review of Weft & Warp, Andaz Scottsdale.

The Verdict
Our Andaz Scottsdale stay was good, but could have been better. It didn't start out well, given our original room assignment right next to the parking lot, and significant delay in moving us to a quieter location. Neither room had a full complement of the advertised complimentary mini bar snacks, so there should be more attention to detail in their replenishment. That said, we enjoyed the complimentary pumpkin cookie at check-in, the jacuzzi by the main pool, as well as dinner at Weft & Warp, particularly the cauliflower with zhoug and almonds, and the rigatoni pasta with burrata.
